🐾🧡We had a great day at Licking Elementary, today! 🧡🐾
Mrs. Lopez’s students enjoyed listening to her read, “First Day Jitters.” Looking forward to seeing everyone back tomorrow….and maybe with a bit less of those “first day jitters.”
Thanks to families, teachers, staff and especially our students for making today a wonderful first day of the 2022-2023 school year! ⭐️

It’s always a good day to have a good day!
Junior high and high school are such unique times in our lives. Many students are trying to figure out so much…
Where is my place in this world? This school?
What am I good at?
What do I want to do after graduation?
The questions we can ask ourselves are endless.
This time can be full of great experiences, anxiety, wonder, and lifelong memories.
There are fun times and not so fun times. Through it all, there are two pieces of advice I like to share with our secondary students:
1. Get involved and make the most of these few years. They’ll be gone before you know it. We have a number of clubs and activities for a variety of interests.
2. When graduation time comes, make sure you’ve taken full advantage of the opportunities that came your way. We want you to have no regrets about the choices you made throughout these six years - choices about involvement in activities, classes you took, the effort you put forth, the way you treated others, and more.
No matter what, know we’re here for you. We root for your success, and we stand ready to assist in any way we can.
We’ve missed you and look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Thanks to the cooperation of our families, Licking R-VIII School District qualifies for an extension of our Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) status, meaning ALL of our students are able to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost again this year! By providing school meals to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students.

🧡🐾🖤Tomorrow is the first day of the 2022-2022 school year!
🍎All of the grown ups that work at school have been working hard to get ready to welcome each student back Tuesday.
⭐️We can’t wait to see you! As you are getting prepared, don’t forget the most important thing you will bring to school tomorrow is YOU!
🧡Be yourself-because there’s no one else like you!
😊Did I mention we can’t wait to see you?
Love,

Hey, Wildcats! Two wake-ups and it will be the first day of the 2022-2023 school year! Whether you’re starting kindergarten or your senior year…or any grade in between, you may be having some nervous feelings. 41 first days after this first day, I still feel the same way. I hope you will remember your friends are looking forward to seeing you, your teachers are ready to help you, and you BELONG in Licking. We have lots of new things to show you, and there are plenty of new people to meet. Get ready, get set, let’s go on Tuesday! Let’s make it the best year yet! 🌟 Love, Mrs. Wright
