The Lady Wildcats defeat Crowley’s Ridge Academy from Paragould, AR in the semifinals of the Silver Bracket 25-11, 25-9. They’ll play Mtn. View next for the bracket championship.

The VolleyCats defeat Doniphan 25-16, 26-24 to finish out pool play. Bracket play next.

The Lady Wildcats fall to Springfield Catholic 21-25, 18-25 in their second match of pool play. They’ll next play Doniphan at 12:45 today.

The Lady Wildcats begin pool play in the West Plains Tournament today by splitting with West Plains 25-14, 17-25. They’ll sit while the next match is played and then play last year’s tournament champion Springfield Catholic.

Happy Grandparents’ Day from our kindergarten classes! 😊Kindergarteners recited the Pledge of Allegiance, sang the ABC song, and counted their numbers for visiting grandparents. Afterward they presented their grandparents a special card and enjoyed some refreshments. Thanks to the kindergarten teachers and support staff for welcoming kindergarten grandparents today. 🧡🖤

Mr. Roark encouraged students to be responsible today during the September Elementary Character Education Assembly. Mrs. Sanchez also shared tips on how to be a responsible student. ⭐️ #wechooselearning

Mrs. Cooper posts “Juniors and seniors registered for the ACT yesterday.  If you’re a junior or senior and missed signups and would like to take the ACT on LHS campus in October, stop by the counseling center to get registered before next Friday, September 16.”

Licking defeats Stoutland and advances to the Frisco League Championship game tomorrow night at 7:30pm in Crocker. Go Wildcats!

Our junior high and high school cross country teams participated in their first meet today at Willow Springs. The junior high boys finished fourth as a team and sophomore Levi Stout finished 11th out of a large field. Great job Wildcats!

Mr. Holmes says, "This is a picture from our Science Club hike/swim event on Saturday, August 27. There were a total of 13 students who attended plus the four sponsors, so 17 people total. It was a fun trip with great weather!"

Licking R-VIII School District is looking for a parent and a community member to volunteer in our Continuous School Improvement Planning Team. We are very excited to announce our partnership with Progressive Ozark Bank for the 72nd Annual Progressive Ozark Bank LHS Classic volleyball tournament. This year’s 10-team tournament will be on Saturday, October 8th in both the FEMA gym and the Sherman Hill Field House.
