Food Drive Information:
☀️The Science Club journeyed to Arkansas over Spring Break. We had 16 students, 4 sponsors, and 3 days of wonderful adventures.
The Elk Education Center in Ponca, AR, was a big hit.
This tallest bluff between the Appalachians and the Rocky Mountains was another part of our trip. The upper Buffalo River valley is quite scenic and offers outstanding hiking opportunities.
Thank you to Mr. Wesley Holmes for organizing and sponsoring this trip. We appreciate the time and efforts of you, the bus driver, and all of the trip sponsors to make this kind of experience happen for your Science Club students.

🗺️History Club Update:
History Club spent time Lawton, OK at the Great Plains Museum. It was very much a hands on experience, from dissecting a buffalo, using a printing press, practice roping and how wind generated electricity on the plains.
The next leg of History Club's trip took us to Fredericksburg, TX and the National WW2 Pacific Museum. Students got to take part in the rescue of Americans from the Philippines, getting depth charged on their way to safety. They also got up close to a PT boat, a Japanese 2 person sub that tried to infiltrate Pearl Harbor, B-17 bomber like the ones that took part in Doolittles Raid, an actual piece salvaged from the USS Arizona and much more.
Day 3 took students to San Antonio and explored San Antonio Missions National Park, location of 5 Spanish missions dating back to the late 1790s that are still standing, including the Alamo. Many were surprised to learn that all the Spanish churches still standing were also still in use today. They also were able to see Spanish-built aqueduct techniques that were learned from the Romans and still functioning today.
