🚗Today, our juniors and seniors had the opportunity to participate in the Southwest Coalition for Roadway Safety activities.
Students took part in obstacle courses while wearing impairment simulation goggles, giving them a firsthand look at how alcohol and other substances can affect coordination, reaction time, and decision-making behind the wheel.
These students took the Buckle Up Phones Down Pledge and signed the banner pledging to keep safety a priority.
We’re grateful to the Missouri Highway Patrol and the Licking Police Department for guiding students through the activities and having meaningful conversations about the real-life consequences of poor choices and driving under the influence.
This important experience was made possible through funding from the Southeast Coalition for Roadway Safety 2026 Project Prom/Graduation Grant. We appreciate their support in helping keep our students informed, aware, and safe as they head into prom and graduation season.

Big news for Licking High School! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to announce that two of our very own students have been voted in as State Officers for SkillsUSA! Alivia Petersen and Ethan Stout will now represent 9 districts and over 11,000 students across the state.
Their journey to this achievement was no small feat. They each submitted detailed candidate packages, participated in formal interviews, delivered speeches to voting delegates, and thoughtfully answered a challenging problem-solving question on the spot. Students even designed their own campaign boards. Their hard work, professionalism, and leadership truly stood out.
After careful consideration, the delegates selected these two students to serve as their State Officers, an incredible honor and responsibility.
Even more exciting, they are the FIRST students in Licking High School history to earn this prestigious position!
Please join us in congratulating these incredible students as they step into leadership roles and represent our school with pride. We can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make! 👏
