🎓 Attention Seniors & Senior Families! 🎨🚗 An email will be sent to senior families on Monday, July 27, with information about Senior Parking Spots and the application packet. This year, seniors will have two options: 🧡 Main Parking Lot – Purchase and personalize a painted parking spot for $50. Students choosing this option will be responsible for purchasing their own paint and supplies as well as painting over it at the end of the year. 🖤 Gravel Lot (by the Science Building) – Purchase a parking spot with a personalized banner along the fence for $25. Banners are $40 each and will look like the sample provided. 🧡Painting will be done the week of August 10-14, 2026. 🖤Banners will be delivered 2 weeks after order date. 🧡Parking spot fee is due at time of application. 🖤All funds will go towards senior activities for the year. 🧡A drone photo will also be taken of seniors from the air with their parking spots at no charge. Please review all application materials and parking spot guidelines before submitting your application. We can't wait to see our seniors showcase their creativity and school spirit while helping support the Senior Class Fund. 🏫Mrs. Autumn Hale recently attended professional learning events at the Chicago Literacy Institute. Reflecting on her experience, she said, “I'm proud to be representing our district at the Chicago Literacy Institute this week. Thank you to our Professional Development Committee, administrators, and school board for encouraging and supporting our teachers to pursue new networking and learning opportunities!"

Mrs. Hale currently teaches 2nd grade at Licking Elementary. Thank you for your willingness to learn best practices for teaching our students to fluently read and write, Mrs. Hale!

📊 Spring 2026 Missouri Assessment Results Have Arrived! 📚 Licking R-VIII School District has received the results from this spring's Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and End-of-Course (EOC) assessments. Individual student score reports will be shared with families during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29. These reports provide valuable information about your child's academic progress and help guide future learning. We encourage all families to attend conferences to review assessment results, discuss student growth, and partner with teachers to support continued success.

If you’re a junior high or high school student interested in running, we’d love to have you join us. Whether you’re an experienced runner or have never run cross country before, this is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, make new friends, and be part of an amazing team. Come ready to work hard, have fun, and see what you’re capable of. We can’t wait to kick off another great season!

Elementary Beta Club went to National Elementary Beta Week in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout the week, our students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and excellence while competing alongside talented students from across the nation.

🏆Our Beta members proudly participated in the Talent Trio Dance Competition ( Harper Cummins, Kali Dooley, and Natilee Stewart) and (Rachel Hagler) Quilling Competition, showcasing their hard work and dedication.

Beyond the competitions, students enjoyed making lasting memories by exploring some of Nashville's most popular attractions. Highlights included visiting the Grand Ole Opry for Beta Night, exploring fascinating marine life at the Aquarium Restaurant, and experiencing the excitement and culture that make Nashville such a special destination.

The week was filled with learning, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. We are incredibly proud of our Beta students for representing Licking Elementary (Sponsors : Candice Shepherd, Rebecca Ichord, and Serena Hagler)

WILDCAT JH VOLLEYBALL These girls went 3-0 today, didn’t drop a single set all day!! Even after being down 15-5 during the first set of our last game, they played hard & they fought today. We are super proud of them. 🧡🖤🏐

The Wildcat Boys Basketball team is having a great time and getting better every day at the Licking Camp in Branson! 🏀 The effort, team work is what summer is about. Even more importantly, they're building team chemistry, creating memories, and growing together through a great team experience. 🏃🏃‍♀️☀️What a great week at Wildcats Running Camp! Our campers had a blast learning new skills, playing games, and challenging themselves through fun activities. This week, we focused on proper running form, speed and agility drills, teamwork, and building confidence as runners. The campers also learned the importance of warming up, staying hydrated, and encouraging their teammates. We are so proud of the effort, positive attitudes, and enthusiasm these young athletes have shown. Thank you to all of our campers and families for making camp such a success. We are excited for the future of Cross Country.🖤🧡

🐾🧘‍♀️ Wildcat Athletics enjoyed a day of relaxation, flexibility, and re-energizing our bodies today! Taking time to recover is just as important as training hard. Our athletes focused on stretching, mobility, and wellness to help improve performance, prevent injuries, and prepare for the challenges ahead. A strong athlete is not only physically prepared but mentally refreshed as well.
