🚌Today is Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We are very thankful for each one of our dedicated bus drivers. They faithfully drive our students to and from school each day, on field trips, and to many activities and events.
❓Fun fact: Did you know that our buses travel approximately 1,700 miles each day? Over half of those miles are over gravel roads.

The week of APRIL 27th Activities and Events at Licking JH and HS

Science Club had a great adventure this past Saturday.
We visited Greer Spring, then made an unexpected (but worthwhile!) stop at Twin Pines Conservation Center, and finished the day at Alley Spring. In all, we had 17 current LHS students along with 3 adult sponsors—some new faces and several returning members.
Our unplanned stop at Twin Pines turned into a highlight of the day, complete with an impromptu botany lesson! 🌿
All in all, a fun, memorable trip with a great group of students.

⚠️Due to the forecasted threat of severe weather, including large hail, high winds in excess of 80 mph, and high risk of tornadoes in our area, Licking R-8 School District will dismiss at 12:45 p.m. today, April 27, 2026. Please contact your student's building office by 11:00 a.m. if you need to change transportation arrangements.

🥎 Ladycat softball played in the Salem tournament Saturday. Our ladies dropped one to Salem, played well to earn the W over Potosi 9-4, but came up short vs. Bourbon.
Keep battling, Ladies!💪
🏆Congrats to Mya Rinne for being named to the all tournament team!
