Public Information Officer Young from the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped by today to talk to 2nd through 6th grade about Bus Safety! Students were reminded about how to safely approach, load, and ride a school bus. Thank you Sgt. Young!

🟠 Students can shop at the Book Fair during the school day on Monday through Thursday, October 21-24.
⚫️ Students and families can shop at the Book Fair during Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 24th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
🟠 Four ways to pay! Cash, card, check payable to Licking Elementary, or eWallet.
⚫️ Visit our homepage before the Fair for more details on how to set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
🟠 If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
⚫️ Donations can also be made to help purchase books for students who may not be able to purchase books on their own. Donations can be made in person during Parent Teacher Conferences or sent to school with your child in an envelope labeled “Share the Fair".

7th graders made ice cream in a bag in order to experience an endothermic reaction as a liquid changes to a solid. Fun was had by all, and the ice cream was a tasty way to end the week!
⭐⭐The Licking R-VIII School District has received the Individual Student Reports (ISR) from the Spring of 2024 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and End of Course (EOC) tests. Student results will be given to parents with their grade reports next week at Parent/Teacher Conferences.
After one week of donations the students of Licking Elementary have absolutely blown me away! Thursday tallied 659.75 which took us from just shy of our 2500 goal to right at 2900 dollars overall. Friday saw an additional 614.37 which put us just over 3500 dollars total and over our second goal which will see Mr. Barry stranded on the roof of the school! That leaves two weeks to reach our $5000 goal which doesn't seem like it will be an issue! I want to thank all of you again for your donations and having fun right along with the kiddos!

Penny War Update!!!
I want to personally thank all of the families and kids who have gotten into this Penny War! It has been amazing to see the kids so excited to give to those in need. Day one totaled approximately $650 dollars, day two was up over $820, and today saw $795! That brings our three day total to almost $2300!!! We are SO close to our first milestone! Keep shaking out those couch cushions Wildcats!

Senior Parents,
If you need assistance setting up your FSA ID, Mrs. Huff will be available during Parent Teacher conferences in the Counseling Office.
Just a reminder that parents and students will have their own separate ID’s!
Please make sure to have the following information:

🔸Date of Birth
🔸Valid e-mail address and phone number
🔸Immediate access to your e-mail account
🔸Your residential address
Seniors will have the opportunity to create their FSA ID’s Friday October 18th during the school day. So if your senior needs their ID created, please make sure that they have this information Friday.
