At their last station of the day at STEM Day, 8th grade had the opportunity to experience how 3D printing has revolutionized the medical industry with a demonstration on how knee and hip replacement parts are made using the cells of a person's own body.
At another station during STEM day, 8th graders experimented with tempered glass from the Department of Glass Science and Technology at MS&T.
As part of STEM Engineering Day at MS&T, 8th graders had the chance to program robots to make them complete an obstacle course. We even had a team make it to the advanced course!
What a fantastic day with 8th grade as they enjoyed the STEM Engineering Day last Thursday at MS&T. Students began the day with some team building playing games.

Spring Sports practices begin Monday, February 26, 2024. All students wanting to try out for a Spring Sports team must have a current MSHSAA Physical and Pre-Participation Form on file in the Athletic Office before trying out. Teachers from the elementary and secondary campuses engaged in the 2nd part of "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics" during their professional development on Friday. Today, our students were highly engaged in this unique research-based practice that creates optimal conditions for student-centered, student-owned, deep mathematical thinking beyond just memorization or repetition.
