WEEK OF FEBRUARY 3rd Athletic/Activities Events.
📣It was a great week full of spirit at the Junior Cheer Camp! Participating students learned a dance, cheers, and jumps that will be performed at Monday’s games.
📣The junior cheerleaders will perform Monday, February 3 at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the halftime of the home high school girls' junior varsity game against St. James in the high school gym. The game starts at 4:00 p.m.

The Boys Basketball make up game versus the Cuba Wildcats will be on Monday February 10th, with a JV tipoff at 6PM. See you then!
Due to school not being in session, there will be NO POWERCATS practice until school is back in session Monday, February 3.
🏀High School Boys Basketball home game vs. Cuba on Thursday night, January 30, has been postponed. Reschedule date TBD.
The junior cheerleader performance has been postponed to Monday, February 3 at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the halftime of the home high school girls' junior varsity game against St. James in the high school gym. The game starts at 4:00 p.m.
Due to increasing numbers of students and staff absent due to illness resulting in low attendance and staffing shortages, Licking R-8 School District will be closed Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31. Efforts are underway to deep clean and sanitize buildings in preparation for students to return to school on Monday, February 3.
Wildcat Basketball traveled all the way to the border tonight for a matchup against the Thayer Bobcats. In an incredibly physical and hard-fought matchup the JV ultimately falls 43-49 in the first matchup of the night. Way to fight hard gentlemen.

Students in Mrs. Hale's class did an activity today to further their understanding of weathering and erosion. Forks were used to see what effect trees and grass might have on erosion due to rain 🌧️ and storms.

2025 LHS Homecoming game is Friday January 24th vs Richland. The JV game starts at 6PM, gates open at 5PM. There will be a silent auction for Pies, Cakes and Gift Baskets. The Coronation will take place between the JV and Varsity games. Come out and support your Wildcats.
