Notice of Parent/Guardian Meeting:
Notice is hereby given that the Licking R-VIII School District will conduct a parent/guardian meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 3:30-4:00 p.m. in the Elementary Cafeteria located at 125 College Avenue, Licking, Missouri.

We will take a pep bus tomorrow for the Lady Wildcats district championship at Dixon versus Eugene if enough students sign up.
Students must sign up in the athletic office by the end of lunch AND turn in their $6 admission fee at sign-up. High school students only.
Game is at 5:00. The bus will leave at 3:30.

Our 8th grade boys basketball team will open up their season next week at the Salem Tournament. Games will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of next week. Gym locations and times are listed for each game.

The Lady Wildcats will travel to Dixon tonight for their district semifinal matchup with Steelville. First serve is at 6:00.
Districts can be viewed on MSHSAA.tv for a fee.

📚 We will kick off the book fair Monday, October 24 at the elementary with “Dress Like a Book Character Day!”
😊Students may dress like a book character on Monday. Outfits should be school appropriate. (No full face/head masks, no violent or gruesome accessories or props, adheres to school dress code, shoes that are appropriate for outside/gym play.)
📖 The book fair will be open during both nights of parent conferences next week. Students may also purchase books during their library time or before school between 7:30-8:00 a.m. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Derrickson in the library at 573-889-3211 ext. 213. Thank you!

Mrs. Green says, "Today, our 8th graders began a four-part series of presentations on Hormones and Health, presented by a senior seminar group from Missouri S&T University. LHS alum, Hannah Tillery, presented today's discussion."


The Lady Wildcats open district play with a 25-11, 25-7, 25-8 win over Bourbon. They’ll play next in the district semifinals on Monday at 6:00 versus the winner of Steelville and Plato.

Students are rehearsing this morning for tonight’s Beatles concert. Concert begins at 6:00.


Our junior high and high school cross country teams competed at the Frisco Conference meet yesterday at Plato.
