High School Students: We will take a Pep Bus to Dixon tomorrow night for the boys district semifinal game. Bus will leave at 4:30 for the 6:00 game. A sign up sheet will be in the high school office tomorrow morning. Please sign up early as there is a limit of 30 for the bus. Thanks to the generous donation of Josh Murray and Mark & Shannon McLeod, there is no cost to ride the bus. Admission to the game will be $5.

District and state playoff streaming will be hosted by MSHSAA at https://mshsaa.tv/. There will be a per game fee established by MSHSAA. After all this winter weather, we have some updates to our upcoming basketball schedules: Thursday Boys scheduled to travel to Iberia (pending travel conditions) Friday Girls will play Dora at home at 6 PM. Saturday Boys begin district play at home. They’ll play Bourbon at 2:00. MSHSAA sets admission price. It is $5. Girls will finish out their regular season at home at 4:30. They’ll host state-ranked Sparta. Monday With a win Saturday, the boys will travel to Dixon for their district semifinal game at 6:00. The Licking School District is proud of our community and those who have chosen careers of service and protection. At halftime of the varsity girls basketball game Saturday, February 20, we will honor Licking Local Heroes. Local heroes (police, fire, medical, military, etc.) dressed in uniform will receive free admission, complimentary beverage and concession item, and special recognition. Retired military may present their card. Free admission applies to the 4:30 girls’ game only. (MSHSAA will not allow us to permit free admission to the boys district contest at 2:00.) We now know when our basketball teams will be playing in district competition: The boys' team will host Bourbon in Licking on Saturday, February 20 at 2:00. The winner will play Dixon at Dixon Monday, February 22 at 6:00. The girls' team will host the winner of Cabool and Bourbon in Licking on Tuesday, February 23 at 6:00. Championship games will be held at Dixon. The boys play Thursday, February 25 at 6:00. The girls will be Friday, February 26 at 6:00. MSHSAA sets admission prices, and all games will be $5.
