🟠Our School Protection Officer and District Nursing Staff provided emergency preparedness training to Licking R-8 Staff as part of our back to school preparations.
⚫School Protection Officer Jeff Kinder provided active shooter drill instruction, including coordinating a campus-wide shooter scenario. We are thankful for Mr. Kinder's expertise in providing us with high-level training to protect our students.
🟠Campus Nurses Haley Godi and Cassandra Cline updated staff on emergency preparedness protocols, including education on chest wounds from Jason Mayberry from TCMH. Thank you to Mrs. Godi, Mrs. Cline, and Mr. Mayberry.
⚫We appreciate the dedication and continuous efforts of our District Safety Team and our entire Licking R-8 Staff to prepare for emergency response and engage in training to protect our students.

Mrs. Taylor's Kindergarten classroom did an experiment today to see if the hot weather would melt their crayons. Even with a surprise late afternoon rain shower 🌧️, they still got some amazing results!! They also discovered that their two white crayons did not melt and are now on the hunt to figure out why!?
