Attention Parents/Guardians: The Licking R-8 School District has received the Individual Student Reports (ISRs) for MAP testing. The reports will be distributed with 1st quarter grade cards at our Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 24 and 26, 2023.
Frisco League Baseball Tournament starts tonight at Deer Lick Park. Game 1 will feature Dixon vs Plato at 4:30 pm. In Game 2, Iberia will play Richland.

JV Wildcats Baseball Team defeats Conway on the road 12-1 to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Wildcats Baseball Team defeats Conway on the road in 5 innings 14-3. Wildcats improve to 6-0 on the season.
Students in Mr Coffey's 7th grade social studies classes expanded their taste buds by sampling snacks from the countries of Indonesia and Greece. The favorite choice from Indonesia was the spicy chili casava chips. Coming in at a close 2nd were the pineapple crackers. The favorite food from Greece was the grape must cookie. In their study, students could visualize the maps of the countries and where the food comes from. Also included in the samples are games or other artifacts that students can experience that are common in other countries.
Algebra I students competed in a nail-biting game of "Capture the Flag," where they worked in cooperative learning groups solving properties of equality and identity. Students had to strategically plan their moves to capture the highest scoring flags!

Parents,
Yesterday our new Infinite Campus system sent out an email that was titled "Negative Lunch Account Balances". The letter was designed to be an automated email that was sent only to families who had a student with a negative lunch account balance. Unfortunately for some reason, it was sent to all families regardless of the balance in their students account. With the Federal Waiver extending free breakfast and lunch, students will not be charged, other than for snack milks in the lower grades, for meals. We apologize for the confusion and are working to make sure that our automated emails go out correctly in the future.
Lady Wildcats Volleyball Team will host Winona in their home opener tonight. Varsity game starts at 5:00 pm. There will be 2 sets of a JV following the Varsity game.
