You may have noticed that you are receiving notifications in a different format this school year. Apptegy Alerts system is replacing SchoolMessenger as our primary notification system for school cancellations, valuable information and other messages sent by the district. These messages can be sent in several ways: SMS text message, voice calls and emails. Your contact information is pulled from our current student information system, LumenTouch.
The new system also allows for notifications about lunch balances and student attendance information. In the near future, you will receive an automated message if your student has been marked absent for their first hour class. We hope that this will reduce the number of calls that our secretaries must make to verify that your child is supposed to be at school.
The district wants you to have as much information as possible about your child's education and activities at school. If you decide that you do not want to receive notifications from the district, you can request to have your contact information added to a Do Not Contact list.
