Licking R-8 School District Awarded $400,000 Stronger Connections Grant
Licking, Missouri, March 28, 2024 - Licking R-8 School District is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the highly competitive Stronger Connections grant, totaling $400,000. This grant will enable the district to implement innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and fostering stronger connections within the school community.
The Stronger Connections grant, established through the BSCA (Bipartisan Safer Communities Act), provides funding under Title IV, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), and is designed to support school districts in providing students safe, healthy, and supportive learning opportunities and environments. Licking R-8 School District's successful application highlighted its commitment to these principles and outlined a comprehensive plan to leverage the grant funding for maximum impact. The window for allocation of the two-year grant funding runs from March 2024 to September 2026.
