2025–2026 Board Commitments
Excellence and Integrity Every Day
In support of our mission, vision, and shared beliefs, the Licking R-VIII Board of Education makes the following commitments for the 2025–2026 school year:
Steward Resources Responsibly We commit to maintaining a balanced budget that supports student achievement, invests in educational resources, and funds preventative maintenance and ongoing facility and technology improvements. The Board will continue working toward long-term fiscal goals, including building $1 million balances in both Fund 1 and Fund 4.
Foster Student Success We will continue to raise academic achievement at all grade levels, close achievement gaps, and increase opportunities for students to succeed beyond graduation—including expanding access to programs such as A+ scholarships. We believe every child deserves an excellent education, regardless of background or ability.
Invest in People We recognize that recruiting and retaining a highly qualified workforce is essential to student success. The Board will remain focused on improving staff, teacher, and administrator compensation to support a culture of excellence.
Build Trust and Community Partnerships We will strengthen communication and relationships with all stakeholders—students, families, staff, and the broader community—through open dialogue, collaboration, and the use of effective digital communication tools.
Uphold a Culture of Excellence and Integrity We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment built on trust, collaboration, and high expectations. Together, we will foster determined learners, responsible citizens, and compassionate individuals prepared to thrive in a constantly changing world.
