World History Students Get Their Hands Dirty With Archaeology

World History students in Mr. Coffey’s class concluded their school year by using some archaeological skills to help identify remains in a model cemetery. Their task was to categorize and document the artifacts as well as label which remains were male or female, adult or child, and royal or non-royal status. Students were able to examine a model cemetery measuring 4 foot by 8 foot with 15 different exposed grave sites in an effort to give students a hands on history experience.
